Happy Veterans Day!! We especially want to celebrate the women who served our country.
The Army unveiled a new statue last week that celebrates these female heroes. It’s the first statue commissioned and placed on a military base time that features a woman soldier.
“The simple truth is: the military cannot function without women, and it’s becoming more and more obvious,” says Mariette Kalinowski, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps reserves and did two tours in Iraq.
